Zichron Rochel Leah

Zichron Rochel Leah is a tax deductible charity organization founded in memory of Rochel Leah Bas R' Avraham Simcha.

Our organization has two very important mission's:

When we were in Kollel we came across an issue that many young men in Kollel struggle with, during Pesach Bein Hazmanim we are off for an entire month and most of us do not make Pesach. During the two weeks before and after Pesach, our wives worked and our kids were in school and we had alot of free time on our hands and we struggled to make use of our time wisely. Yes we had chavrusa's in random shul's that we learnt with daily, but we lacked a basic structure that Kollel life provided us. Together we formed "Pesach Bein Hazmanim kollel" where every day from 9:30 am until 11:30 am we would learn as group in a shul focusing on a sugya where we can all connect with each other and hear shiurim from esteemed Talmidei Chachamim on inyanei dyoma. We fund-raised to provide a incentive and commitment for all the avreichim to show up every day to learn a solid 2 hours in the morning. This greatly changed our entire bein hazmanim for ourselves and our families, and gave us the energy when we got back to summer zman to jump right back into it.

The second mission of Zichron Rochel Leah is to seek out individuals who dedicate their lives to sitting and learning and need extra assistance either to finish off the month, make a wedding or help out with medical expenses that come up. These campaigns are carefully vetted by our board and consulted with daas torah before embarking on a collection campaign.
